Temple Moor pupils visit RAF Linton on Ouse
On Thursday 9th March the science and F1 club pupils visited
RAF Linton on Ouse for a Young Leaders training day.
What did this involve?
Pupils were involved in various activities aimed at making them
think for themselves within a team situation. Activities ranged
from mind games to practical thinking tasks.
Pupil’s activities were arranged and led by the RAF, Set Point
and the Leeds Rhinos, with a special appearance by John
Bentley (ex rugby league and union international player). John
addressed the pupils for 45 minutes and spoke about
motivation, belief and desire to succeed and win in what ever
your chose to do.
What happens now?
The pupils will now set themselves an individual target and work
toward this over the coming months. Those who succeed will
start to gain credits that will eventually lead to accredited
young leader qualifications.
Our thanks go to all the agencies involved in arranging such an
interesting educational day for our pupils. We hope to return
for more soon.
